DGN Jim Ferguson has an extensive background in business of 35 years , served as a City Manager of Bluefield WV and in his more youthful days had a short stint in Law Enforcement. WV Governor Joe Manchin recognized Jim for his Community service and volunteerism. Named Rotarian of the year in 2009 by the Rotary Club of Bluefield WV, followed by an honorarium of a PHF in 2010 and Service Above Self Award the 2011l. In 2012 Jim received the Spirit of District 7550 Award by DG Larry Nelson. As president Ferguson lead his club in a year that achieved a presidential citation, District Change maker award and Zone 33 Change maker award. Jim serves as an advocate for Polio Plus, participating in a NID day in India and as District Polio Chair since 2012. Jim also participated in mission related trips to Ghana for clean water and sanitation projects and most recently traveled to Honduras on a humanitarian mission. Ferguson is a graduate of RLI as well as a faculty member and served 4 years as a District RLI Chair Family, faith along with work and community service are his priorities. Occasionally his wife reminds him to act his age but this proves difficult as he seems not to remember his birth year. Married to Sarah Ferguson ( Duchess of York, Not) together they have two grown children, two beautiful granddaughters, Mikael and Campbell and a grand-dog named Rielly.
